Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII Addresses Loot Box Controversy
Call of Duty Black Ops IIII sneaked in some loot boxes recently in the form of their Reserve Crates. It was seen as a bit of a sleazy move by some and Treyarch were quick to point out that this was a “business decision” and something they had very little to do with. Hey, it is Activision so we should not have been shocked!
Anyway due to the huge negative outcry they went and made the way you get Reserve Crates a lot easier. The rate at which you can earn them has been slashed in half. It had been reported that you could have to play as much as two hours just to get one! Now though that has supposedly been cut in half.
Also before once, you got to level 100 in the Contraband Battle Pass System, you were out of luck as far as Reserve Crates went. Now though, you can keep earning them as you play. These are not groundbreaking, nor do they deserve a high five, a Pepsi and a Sub for doing this. However, at least they were quick to change once word got out that fans were not happy.
I think that Black Ops IIII is a great game, but even with these changes, their Reserve Crates are not something that I am going all out for. If I earn them as I play then so be it, but they will not get a single penny out of me for these and I hope that many other gamers act with their wallets too.
