Gun Game is a huge focus of the third week of the Resistance Event in Call Of Duty WW2. Gun Game is a mode that I have enjoyed for many years and actually, in Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare, I would say that it is the mode that I spent the most time with. I wanted to share a few of the things that have helped me in Gun Game and hopefully, they will help you with this week’s daily and weekly orders.
Keep On Moving: Even if you get a sniper rifle! I know that some people like to lay in wait, kind of like a spider. For me, the best way to get through a game of Gun Game is to keep moving. Just keep on running and never stay in one place too long. Run and gun is the way to go in Gun Game.
Knife As A Last Resort: While sending someone back can be rather amusing. You can bet they will come looking for revenge and do the same to you! I only ever use my knife if it is an extreme last close combat resort type of deal. I know that weekly or daily orders may make you use the knife, however, in general, I find it best to save it for emergencies.
Do Not Look At The Score: I know it is hard to do, but try not to obsess with what gun you are on. It will drive you crazy and when you are not thinking straight, you make mistakes! Gun Game requires you to be “on” and you cannot be on if you are worried that everyone is on the fifth gun and you are still on gun number 3.
While I am having a great time with Call Of Duty WW2 and I have actually gotten used to no longer being able to double/boost jump or run along walls. I must admit that with the next Call Of Duty game, the heavily rumored, Black Ops 4 being set in a more modern time. I am actually quite hopeful that the folks at Treyarch may bring back wall running.
The slower more methodical pace of Call Of Duty WW2 is a very nice change of pace and apart from the limits on how long you can run, I have not actually heard anyone complain about it. However, with wall running being in the last Black Ops game, I do have a feeling that this may be something that Treyarch want to keep in. I have felt that their COD games are always a little more fast paced, with an emphasis on run and gun and that is cool with me.
Being able to boost in Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare was actually something that I thought was pretty cool. It was always pretty cool being able to run along the wall, boost jump and then shoot someone. While I have a strong feeling that wall running will return in the next COD game. If the rumors are true that the next game is set in a modern setting and is a “boots on the ground” type game that we have heard so much about. I do not think that boost jumping will be part of it.
I would love to know if you guys would like to see wall running or boost jumping return in Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 or whatever this year’s game is going to be called.
Let me start by saying I do not think the campaign is bad at all. However, I just recently played through it for the second time on Xbox One X and I wanted to share a few of my thoughts on what I feel could have been added to make the campaign even more epic.
More Pierson
The most interesting character in Call Of Duty WW2 for me was Pierson. First time I played through the campaign, I was not sure what to think about him, even after the reveal of what really happened at the Battle of Kasserine. However, I really do think that delving into his backstory a bit more, even letting us play a flashback of the Battle of Kasserine would have been great.
More Stealth
A couple of sections let you play as someone else other than Daniels. Rousseau was a very intriguing character who was a French resistance fighter who lost her husband and son at the hands of the Nazi’s. You get to play with her as she infiltrates a Nazi stronghold and the whole level is full of tension and drama. I would have loved more of this, maybe a section playing as Zuss right at the end?
More Optional Objectives
One of the things that you can do in the Call Of Duty WW2 campaign is save a fallen soldier. Some levels have two, but it is usually three that you can drag to safety (which for some reasons makes the camera go to hell). I am not saying I would have liked more of this, but more optional objectives in general. There is another mission where you can decide to kill a certain Nazi official or you can not bother. I would have liked more things like this. Blow up that truck with supplies, take down that intelligence officer, save those men and so on.
In all the Call Of Duty WW2 campaign is one of the best the series has had in a while and even playing through it a second time was a lot of fun.
People Still Love Call Of Duty Black Ops 3!
We did a blog post recently about how much we loved Advanced Warfare and why so many people still do. But there is still a lot of love for what many consider to be Treyarch’s best Call Of Duty, Black Ops 3.
This is evident in the fact that despite this game being a couple of years old, Treyarch are still supporting it with updates! It actually got one just a week or so ago when they made some general bug fixes and even did some work on the weapon balancing.
The Black Ops series is a real favorite of Call Of Duty fans and while we have a feeling that Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 will be the last game in the series, it is a great way to go out. It featured some of the most fast and frantic multiplayer the series had ever seen. That is why so many people are still playing it online!
Also the fact that Treyarch are still tweaking things here and there shows that they take a lot of pride in this game. Some people refused to move onto Infinite Warfare and instead just stuck with Black Ops 3, that was how much people loved this game. One of the best things about the Black Ops series was the way that they mixed in different periods of time. You had some stuff happen in the past, but also the near future as well and that gave the gameplay a really good mix.
Call Of Duty Black Ops 3 is certainly a real favorite in the Call Of Duty community and it is crazy how even a couple of years later the guys at Treyarch are still working hard on the game.
