Welcome to ModsRus Mods

About Mod Controllers

Modded controllers were born during the release of the Xbox 360 and ps3 consoles into the market. Now that the xbox one and ps4 consoles are out on the market today people are already aware that they can have mod controllers for the next generation gaming systems.

Modded controllers were created in order to give you a advantage over your opponents in first person shooters like call of duty. You can also perform actions quicker and shoot at fast fire rates with rapid fire.

Red Dead Redemption is one of the games that us folks in the Mods R Us office are super excited about and we thought it would be fun to look at where this series started.

Red Dead Revolver (2004) PlayStation 2, Xbox

While these days Red Dead is known as one of the major RockStar games. The interesting thing about this series is that it started life out as a Capcom property. Capcom was working on the game in 2002, RockStar bought the game, made some major changes to it. RockStar increased the violence and gave it a more “spaghetti western” feel than what Capcom was working on and the rest is history.

Red Dead Revolver sees you playing the role of Red Harlow. A gunslinger in the 1880’s who is trying to get justice for his parents who were brutally murdered. The game is actually very story driven and the voice acting for the time was some of the best around. It may be a little predictable in places, but the story was something that was heavily praised at the time of release.

The gameplay of Red Dead Revolver is that of an action 3rd person game. Red Harlow is an expert with guns and you will be going along looking for justice by putting a beating on and bullets in any person who gets in your way. Red Dead Revolver is fairly linear and does not have the massive open worlds of a GTA or Red Dead Redemption. But it tells its story very well and is fun to play.

At the time of release, Red Dead Revolver was very well received and of course, it set the stage for RockStar to created Red Dead Redemption. As of right now, you can pick up Red Dead Revolver for just a few bucks and it is well worth playing.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Drops
Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Drops

You know that here at Mods “R” Us we love us some Red Dead Redemption and we have just spent the last few hours watching the new trailer over and over again and wanted to share our thoughts on it.

First of all, it is a prequel and it sees you playing as an outlaw called, Arthur Morgan who is part of the Van der Linde gang. If that name sounds familiar it is because the leader of this game is a man called Dutch. The main who John Marston was sent to bring in during the events of the first game.

While John Marston (who is one of the best video game characters of all time) was a former outlaw who had a moral compass and was a bad guy, turned good trying to make a go of it with his wife and son. Arthur from what we see in the trailer looks to be a straight up outlaw, but as this is a RockStar game it is sure to have a million twists and turns to the story.

Not much in terms of gameplay was shown, but we did get to see some epic train and bank robberies as well as hunting things like bears and crocodiles. Speaking of which out of all the areas the trailer showed, the Louisiana style swamp looked the most intriguing.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is not going to be released until 2018 and as this is a RockStar game, we are sure there will be at least one more delay. But as far as we are concerned, RockStar can take all the time in the world as long as they make this as good as the first Red Dead Redemption.

Some Cool Overwatch News
Some Cool Overwatch News

As you know here at Mods “R” Us, we are huge fans of Overwatch and the last couple of days there has been some pretty neat Overwatch news and we wanted to talk a little bit about it.

Overwatch Reversing Player Bans

Some unlucky people have found themselves banned from competitive play even though they did nothing wrong. It has so far affected around 200 Overwatch players, but do not freak out as Blizzard has said it is a small bug and they are on it. Anyone who has been banned during this time is going to be looked after and have their account reinstated. People who had never left a game early or done anything offensive had reported they had been banned from playing! Blizzard then came out and confirmed that it was a bug, well at least we now know they are fixing it.

Cool Overwatch Figures Coming Later This Year

We think the Overwatch Funko Pop figures are awesome. But just recently it was revealed that in October there is going to be a new line of Overwatch figures. These are part of the Cute But Deadly line and they look awesome. They are super cute, but also pretty badass looking. These are going to be blind box mini figures, there is going to be 12 characters in this first series and if you want our opinion, Lucio, D.Va, and McCree are the coolest. We hope that since they are blind boxes that someone figures out what the codes on each box are so we can get the figures we want.

Grand Theft Auto The Lost And The Damned (2009) PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC

Today we are not looking at a whole new game, but a piece of DLC that while being an add on for Grand Theft Auto IV contained as much, if not more gameplay than many of the other games that were released in 2009.

Grand Theft Auto The Lost And The Damned was the first of two DLC episodes for GTA IV. This saw you playing as Johnny Kleebitz. Who is the leader of a chapter of the motorcycle gang, The Lost MC. You actually encounter these guys in the story of GTA IV and they were pretty darn cool. The story of this DLC sees you trying to keep the chapter running all the while having to deal with some internal issues that want to see you no longer be the leader. The story was very well written and as you would expect the voice acting was awesome.

The game was a lot shorter than a typical GTA game, with some people beating it in 10-15 hours. But for DLC this is a lot of gameplay. You could free roam and do what you want, but the story missions did things a little different. What they did was add in mid mission checkpoints. This was awesome as if you failed a mission, you did not have to restart the whole thing.

As this was based on a biker, the bike was a big deal and two kinds of missions, Bike Races and Gang Wars required you to be on the bike. Multiplayer also had lots of bike focused modes such as chopper vs chopper, lone wolf biker, and witness protection.

The Lost And The Damned was heavily praised by critics, especially the story and the fantastic way they improved motorcycles in the GTA world.
